Escape to nature on our peaceful pasture farm
the perfect place to pause
Nestled on the hillside amongst the trees, our accommodation provides the perfect place to pause, relax and recharge amongst nature and soak up our breathtaking panoramic view
Mulino Lodge is a collection of dog friendly glamping pods and private cabin nestled on a working pasture farm near Ashbourne, Derbyshire - right on the edge of the Peak District. Whether you're looking for a romantic couples retreat, a family escape or a group glamping adventure, our farm provides the perfect base with sweeping panoramic views across the Derbyshire hills.
We're within easy reach of Carsington Water, Dovedale, Bakewell and Alton Towers- making us the ideal base for exploring the Peak District and surrounding counties.
What a special place! Don’t think twice, if you want to step out into a whimsical farm, with beautiful animals, views, facilities and lovely folk running it.
I stayed in the bluebell pod, what a treat, it was so perfect. It had just the right amount of facilities in the pod, toaster, kettle, basin, bowls cups etc. with access to an outdoor kitchen space (including a black stone!!) that had the most beautiful views just outside, a bbq and fire pit around the pod too, offering options for outdoor cooking. Side note, for the water lovers - I’ve never tasted such delicious water! It’s from their very own source!
The little information room and shop is such a lovely touch, selling wool blankets, prints of the pods, local jams and honeys. It also includes basic supplies, including all the things you might forget, or want to add onto your trip - firewood, toiletries, towel rental, bbq bags etc. I loved seeing the pictures of the pod being built and reading the local recommendations suggested. The sofa and breakfast bar, coffee machine in there was such a lovely touch too. Everything is so perfectly placed and thought out!
The website is so easy to use, I booked direct and it was so easy and simple to do. I loved the extra feature of a welcome 10% off, with a late booking discount it was a bargain and I loved every minute. I found myself reading their blogs and loved learning about the farm, how Craig and Aran have built their amazing oasis. The beautiful ewes all expecting lambs and the cows playing happily in the fields as I read about their journey, felt inspiring at many levels.
I had a bbq for breakfast, a fire for the afternoon on the non windy day. I had a day in my pod witnessing every season in the day, it was so magical.
The local town Ashbourne has everything and more than you need, a beautiful little town with a hive of activity. Plenty of shops and options for a lovely stroll, if you wanted to do anything off the farm. However, I found myself quite happy mostly on the farm, enjoying the gorgeous views and nature.
I will be back without hesitation, I feel rested and replenished and inspired to start working towards a life similar. What you’re offering is beautiful, thank you for sharing your journey and space for all to enjoy. A must do, highly recommend!

Lovey relaxing pods Staying in the little pod at the top of the hill was such a special experience. Waking up to the gentle sight of cows grazing nearby made it feel peaceful and wonderfully rural — exactly the kind of escape we were hoping for. The views from up there were beautiful, and it felt like a proper retreat from the busy world.
The pod itself was warm, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. Everything had clearly been well thought out, and the facilities were excellent. It had everything we needed for a relaxing stay, and it felt cosy without ever feeling cramped. The new cooking stove was brilliant addition as Iv staid here a number of times over the years

A perfect little gem! Just got home from such a wonderful stay at Ewe lodge, the views are beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for anything more, everything you’d need was provided. Really feel as though we have found a little gem and if you want peace and quiet, stunning views, comfort and some R&R don’t hesitate to book, can’t wait to rebook ourselves x

Perfect Getaway Amazing break in Bluebell Pod. Warm & cozy for a chilly January stay. Beautiful views & so much peace & quiet. Perfect for the peaceful break we needed. Mulino Pods has everything you need to hide away for a few days but also very close to a few popular attractions if you wish to explore. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

My pooch and I had a wonderful 2 night stay in Damson pod. The pod and separate facilities were spotless and very well-equipped. The views were spectacular and it felt very private. We came to escape the fireworks but despite hearing some on the Saturday night, they were dull enough that my girl didn't react to them. The pods are quite isolated (not a prob for us) and located up a long, rough track, but worth the drive and within a short driving distance of all the local attractions. Would recommend :)

Amazing for a family trip This experience was amazing, we will definitely come back. Lovely pods nested in very picturesque countryside that were equipped with everything needed (quite surprisingly even with respect to their size!) ; had a lovely adventure with my kids. Craig/Aaron were available at the end of a phone for questions. The cleanliness of both the pods and bathrooms / showers was superb. This makes a great base for walking / hiking trips and I can see us repeatedly using this accommodation. The journey to the farm on the little windy roads was quite fun too.

Damson Pod Stay We stayed at the Damson Pod and loved our stay even when it was persisting it down with rain. The views are amazing and the room is lovely and cosy. You have everything you need and more. You can tell the owners really care and are attentive. Due to the heavy rain we struggled to cook in the kitchen and one of the lovely owners came out and helped us and we were able to finish cooking our meal. On our second day we did a 3 mile walk to the town had some yummy pub grub and then did the 3 mile walk back to the pod. We made friends with some sheep along the way! It was all together, a very lovely and wholesome stay and we will definitely be coming back. Thankyou Mulino Pods <3

My best friend and I had the most wonderful stay at this Mulino Pods. The location was incredibly peaceful, the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Our views from the Bluebell Pod were spectacular. The hosts Craig and Aaron were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The pod and all the facilities were spotless, comfortable and beautifully kept. We can’t wait to come back for another relaxing getaway.

I really love these glamping pods, I've been before and will return again. Sooo much nicer than camping. Truly stunning views. Small fridge, kettle, toaster in the pod, and shared kitchen/toilets/shower rooms on site. Honesty shop for essentials only in the sweet small welcome lounge. All information you could need. WiFi. Outdoor seating outside the pod on decking. Smashing!

Camping, but with comfortable beds, a lovely bathroom and the most spectacular views over Carsington Water!
Stayed 2 nights with 2 under 10's and had great trips out to Carsington Water and the National Stone Centre, cooking on the BBQ provided for our dinners.
The attention to detail was fantastic, with huge amounts of info provided before arriving and plenty of useful equipment available on site.
For adults we can't recommend highly enough. For children please be aware there isn't a huge amount of space for children to run around and play on site, but as they were tired out from the local activities this wasn't too much of a problem for a short stay.

The most tranquil and beautiful little place to stay. We had the pleasure of stopping in the very beautiful Damson Pod with our 2 labradors Elsie & Mabel.
The pod was clean and beautifully presented. It had the immediate amenities that you needed and literally everything else was available on site. Cooking, washing up, drying room, bicycle storage, washing and showering facilities were all available 100yrds from the pod. Modern, clean toilet and shower rooms and an information room with maps, local attraction info, coffee machine and seating. There is a small honesty shop here too with treats and basic produce and toiletries.
Directly off the pod was a large decking with a picnic bench, fresh running drinking water, a barbecue and fire pit.
The views, fresh air and feeling of peace and tranquility were priceless.
If you need a reset, to relax and unwind, and just appreciate the beauty of the Derbyshire countryside, then this is the place for you.
Both us, and our dogs loved our stay and will be coming back.

Amazing secluded stay!! We had a lovely stay at Mulino Pods, the pod was lovely and spacious and facilities such as kitchen cutlery, mugs, glasses are all provided. The shared outdoor kitchen and bathrooms were spotless. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! The pods are secluded but this did not bother us as we made the most of the gorgeous weather and enjoyed the stunning views.

Highly recommend Great instructions, so easy to find with easy parking. Secluded spot with fantastic views on a working farm. Pods are very comfortable with all you could need - just bring food to cook. We bought a fire pit kit and Bbq kit from the honesty shop which was fine for 2 nights. Really excellent bathroom facilities and showers, so clean and comfortable. We loved the info room as somewhere to plan our trip out. We went for breakfast in Buxton, walked up MamTor, had a Bakewell slice in Bakewell and a walk along Carsington Water - all in a day! It was so lovelyy coming back 'home' to our pod at the end of the day. Highly recommend this as a base. So peaceful.

Me and my partner stayed here for valentines weekend.
The pods are beautiful and cosy, given the colder weather we have had we were very warm inside the pod and the radiator/heater works a treat.
Inside the pod they supply cutlery plated a kettle and a toaster and a mini fridge we were overall very pleased with the amenities.
The people that run this place are lovely they messaged us allowing us an early check in and if we did have any issues they told us to just drop them a message and they would come down to help.
There are shared toilets and shared kitchen facilities and they are lovely and clean. Very modern and again warm.
The tuck shop had everything you would need and they had a nespresso machine which I was paticularly happy about as a heavy coffee drinker 🤣.
We used the fire pit and the bbq provided and that kept us warm outside in the evening. We bought our own fire wood and charcoal but you can buy a pack in the tuck shop.
The pods were easy to find following the instructions sent to us and my tiny car made it up the country roads with ease.
Overall it was exactly what we needed a break away in the countryside, no light pollution, no noise and it exceeded all of our expectations. We are planning our return to the pods as we speak!
Thank you so much for a lovely stay 🥰

First Glamping trip Having never done “Glamping” before we decided to give Mulino Pods a go. We stayed in the Lavender pod and it was brilliant. The view from the decking outside was absolutely superb. You can literally see for miles. The pod itself was very comfy and had a Kettle, Fridge and toaster at hand, and a fresh drinking water tap. Plenty of cutlery and plates. It was warm, cozy and quiet. We used the bbq and fire pit and we bought the supplies for both from the onsite honesty shop. We would definitely recommend Mulino pods and will be returning in the future.

Was told if there are fireworks they would be far away and can hardly hear them, that was not the case, later on I found out that they new an evet was on and was never told this event wow was extremely loud and couldn't stay there had to leave that evening we arrived. Internet is as good as 90's dial-up, and all I got on two of my devices was buffering. That was a big disappointment. Did book for 10 days. And no sign of good will gesture of a refund..
To, be honest, it'd be best to stay in a tent as the pods are small. You had one plug door side that didn't work and a double on over the other side of bed. So definitely bring a multi socket with you. So this time of year, the cold kicks in and was wondering what it'd be like to have a shower no heating in there apart from a towel rail.
Reply to my first comment:
I didn't see anyone else in the pods beside me all evening, or was they up in the log cabin up beside your house. I'd say that was quite insulated. Anyways, as from the first email in contact, I asked about fireworks as definitely my main concern. And even the week I was due up even asked. But it was going off from 1800 up until I left what was around 2330. The bang where unbearable, and some of them when I was in the pod, you could feel vibration.
Yes I could of let you know about the wifi but that was last on my mind as that was not high speed as you said more like dial up from the 90's mobile was buffering and couldn't get a stream at all. I even brought a tv with me that works on WiFi as I up there alone it would be very boring without one. And that was having a hard time even connecting to your WiFi. Once it did, there was no chance of even watching anything. But anyway it was too late as the damage was done. Had to pack up and leave.
I did email you but have not heard anything back, and now I have had plenty of time to respond. so have come on here to see what you can arrange for a refund.
And if it is going to be a problem, will you be willing to set up an ADR scheme as I'd like this to be resolved. Thank you.

Peace & Quiet Lovely little pod out in the countryside.
Amazing views and very clean and tidy.
Owners are so helpful if you need them too.
Would recommend to anyone wanting a bit of peace & quiet.
We took a walk to the rose & crown in kniverton for lunch which was about a 45 min walk.
We will definitely return

I had the delight of staying in the Damson pod, which felt comfortable and warm, boasting panoramic views of the scenery which I have showcased in my photos. While there was no face to face interaction with the owner, they were always ready to help via email and text message, of which, responses were very prompt. The information room on site had all sorts of information about the local area, and the honest shop was well stocked. The site feature 2 full side bathrooms by the information room, both of which were spotlessly clean and well maintained.
