Lambing season is here… and the fields are coming alive!

Springtime on the farm, lambs, lambing in the Peak District

A week into lambing at Mulino Lodge…….the paddocks around the glamping pods and cabin are springing into life, full of ewes and their newborns — and there is honestly nothing quite like it.

New life in Spring….

Step outside on an April morning and the fields are dotted with lambs. Within days they go from wobbly first steps to sprinting, leaping and racing around for the sheer joy of it. It never gets old.

Behind the scenes, lambing means early mornings, late nights and a lot of careful watching over ewes and their young. It’s hard work — but bringing new life into the world in very rewarding, and this year we have sucessfully delivered our first quad!

April is a wonderful time to visit the farm, new life, the valley springs into life.
